The TruVault Door

All of our doors have been FEMA tested as part of a Storm Shelter/Safe Room Structure

Safe Harbor TruVault Door

Ameri-Pro Structures certifies that all door, door components, locking mechanisms, and hinges have been tested, and have passed or exceeded the requirements of FEMA p-361 Second Edition / August 2008. Clause 7 Commentary on Debris Impact Performance Criteria for Safe Rooms 7.4, 7.4.1, 7.4.2, 7.4.3, and 7.4.4 Report No._20140314B APPENDIX A.1.3, A1.4, A1.5 Test Criteria ASTM E 1886-05 & ASTM E 1996-06 “Standard Test Method for Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtain Walls, Doors, and Impact Protection Systems Impacted by Missiles and Exposed to Cyclic Pressure Differentials” ANSI A250.13-2003, “Testing and Rating of Severe Windstorm Resistant Components for Swing Door Assemblies.

By design, our doors do not depend on the hinge for its strength and impact resistance. The locking system is completely contained inside the door and functions independently from the door hinges. Each door is locked through both sides of the door jamb, this increases the structures ability to resist impact damage while preventing potential damage to the hinges allowing the door to be opened after an impact occurs.
